Local man writes Chiefs-themed song he hopes becomes the soundtrack to a three-peat [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Chiefs’ success has inspired people to do many things. For the most part, people buy merchandise or attend games. But not retired Lee’s Summit school guidance counselor, Duane Bierwirth. He was inspired to write a song.

“One thing leads to another,” Bierwirth said of his inspiration. “I usually get a hook or something like that.”

After that, Bierwirth let his musical instincts take over. The lyrics of the song tell the story:

Kansas City Chiefs Number1! They’re men on a mission; oh, what a run.

Mahomes and his magic, and Kelce his ace; They will kick the butts of every team that they face!

Kansas City won’t be denied; they’ve got too much talent, have too much pride.

They want more than repeat; they’re going for three-peat!

Kansas City Chiefs are Number 1!

Kansas City; super this year.
