BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Professor Index, a startup focused on transforming higher education through AI-driven professor evaluations, won Nexus Louisiana’s PitchBR competition.
The competition showcases promising Louisiana startups, offering them a platform to present their ideas to judges, with a $1,000 prize for the winner.
Nexus Louisiana said Professor Index, led by Dr. Nash Mahmoud, CEO and a tenured professor of Computer Science and Engineering at LSU, provides a user-friendly platform for students to evaluate their professors and overall academic experience.
“We are honored and thrilled to have been selected as the winner,” said Mahmoud in a news release. “I think PitchBR is a must-do for entrepreneurs in Baton Rouge.”
