Medical professionals meet at Central High to provide teens with healthy advice | News [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. – Providers from Monument Health, Rapid City Medical Center, and Rapid City Area Schools were at Central High School today to educate teens on what a career in medicine is like. As part of the Rapid City Area Schools Pathways Approach to learning, freshmen at RCAS high schools have been speaking with professionals from various careers to gain insight on what they might want to do when they’re older. Students at Central High met with school nurses, lab technicians, and pediatricians.

“I love my job,” said Elizabeth Farnsworth, a pediatrician with Rapid City Medical Center, “I want students to realize that the future is bright and it’s open. It doesn’t matter how you feel right now. Look at the opportunities you have. You have to have some faith in yourself. You can do it, and you can get there.”
