Former President Donald Trump‘s chances in the 2024 election may hinge on a trio of critical issues, according to polling expert Nate Silver.

Silver’s analysis, based on his presidential model that tracks polling data and electoral trends, highlights how current polling and structural factors align in Trump’s favor, with less than two weeks until Election Day.

“In some ways, [President Joe] Biden and [Vice President Kamala] Harris are still paying for the fallout from early-term policy decisions,” Silver wrote on Substack, pointing to issues like inflation and border control.
