Nvidia has long directed users to its GeForce Experience app for GPU driver updates, but that’s now being replaced by the simply titled “Nvidia app,” which emerges from beta today.
The app, first previewed in February, is meant to be a “unified GPU control center,” which can also automatically optimize PC games for your Nvidia graphics card. But a key change is that the new app introduces “a redesigned in-game overlay for convenient access to powerful gameplay recording tools, performance monitoring overlays, and game-enhancing filters, including innovative new AI-powered filters for RTX users,” Nvidia says.
Like with GeForce Experience, the new overlay will appear when you press ALT+Z, giving you an easy way to take screenshots, record videos, or augment a game’s visuals with an AI-powered filter.
