Thomas Dohmke posted on X a video of GitHub Copilot in VS Code running with OpenAI’s o1 model, which he calls “flat out badass”.
GitHub is not sitting quiet ever since the launch of Cursor and other AI coding tools. The team has launched OpenAI’s o1-preview and o1-mini models, available on Azure. These models can be accessed via GitHub Copilot and Models.
Developers can sign up for access to use OpenAI o1 within GitHub Copilot Chat through VS Code and in the GitHub Models playground.
