Pell City grocery store providing another way to by ammunition [Video]

PELL CITY, Ala. (WBRC) – There is a new way to buy ammunition in Pell City. The Fresh Value grocery store in Pell City has partnered with American Rounds on an ammunition dispenser. This dispenser is designed for you to prove who your are before touching a box of ammunition.

American Rounds CEO Grant Maher says the idea to put an ammunition machine in a grocery store was presented to him by strategic partners who saw an opportunity. He says they believe this is the safest way to purchase ammunition because the automated ammo dispenser has built-in AI technology, card scanning capability and facial recognition software. Each piece of software works together to verify the buyer’s age and the person using the machine matches the identification scanned.
