Preserving language and culture through puppetry and media [Video]

From “Sesame Street” to “Yellowstone,” Pete Sands has been part of some big projects in film. However, through his experience, something has been bothering him about his culture in the Navajo Nation.”I ran into a lot of people about how the language was dying on the reservation,” Sands said. “I was working on the reservation at the time, the Navajo Reservation.”The filmmaker says he’s noticed this trend over time where younger generations are forgetting about their roots.
