FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – The American Red Cross is extending its “Quilts for Veterans” project. In partnership with Gate City Bank, the project brings comfort and care to local veterans with quilts.
Local quiltmakers can drop off a quilt at a nearby Gate City Bank location through November 30th. The Red Cross and other partners will then distribute them across homes, stand-down events, and VA hospitals across the region.
“We’re proud to continue this valued project supporting our brave veterans and all they’ve given to defend our freedom,” said Karin Luchsinger, senior vice president of Gate City Bank Checking and Customer Engagement in a press release.
“Providing beautiful quilts like these to help keep them warm is just one of many ways we can express our gratitude for their service.”
