Rise and shine: Morristown High ready to strut its stuff on CBS, Nov. 15 [Video]

One student is planning an all-nighter. Another will reach for extra coffee and energy drinks. A third says he is rigging strobe lights, as a backup for his alarm clock.

They don’t want to miss Friday’s 5 a.m. pep rally at Morristown High School.

Hold on. A pep rally? Before the sun even gets out of bed?

“I don’t think it will be too peppy!” says senior Louis DeLeon, with a grin.

The Colonials marching band, cheerleaders, and an army of DeLeon’s classmates aim to prove him wrong. Some 650 students — about one-third of the school– have signed up to show their colors on Class Act.

Now in its third year, the CBS2 New York series showcases exemplary high schools in the tri-state area. Anchor Chris Wragge will broadcast live from MHS between 5 and 7 am.
