Sotheby’s is set to make history this month by auctioning a unique piece of art created by a humanoid robot Ai-Da. The artwork, a striking portrait of the famous mathematician and computer scientist Alan Turing, titled ‘AI God,’ is expected to sell for up to $180,000 or Rs 1.5 Crore in Sotheby’s Digital Art Sale this month.
Ai-Da is equipped with hydraulically powered hands and cameras for eyes, allowing it to paint autonomously. The artwork stands more than 7 feet tall, commemorating Turing’s immense contributions to computing and artificial intelligence. This is not Ai-Da’s only painting as it has many artworks to its name.
