Sevier County Commissioner Frank Parton dead at 88 [Video]

Sevier County Commissioner Frank Parton was 88-years-old at the time of his death. 

Parton was first elected not the Board of County Commissioners in 2006 and was in the middle of serving his fifth term. Sevier County leaders said Parton was an active member of the education, steering and senior citizens committees.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Commissioner Frank Parton,” said Sevier County Mayor Larry Waters. “Frank’s commitment to public service and his tireless work for the betterment of our county will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Barbara, his family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.”
