(WALA) – Alabama Congressman Shomari Figures has been named to the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the House Agriculture Committee.
Figures, D-Ala., released a statement saying, in part, “I am incredibly grateful to the Democratic leadership for the opportunity to serve on both of these committees.
“These committees will allow us to have a direct role in delivering resources to address many critical needs in Alabama’s Second Congressional District.”
Figures in the only member of the Alabama congressional delegation named to the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and is one of two from Alabama on the agriculture committee.
