Social Media Feeding Trump’s ‘Gangsta’ Appeal [Video]

Mark Cuban argued social media algorithms are feeding former President Donald Trump’s “gangsta” appeal and Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign needs a plan to combat it.

Cuban, a campaign surrogate for Harris’s campaign, spoke with MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace on Thursday after giving a speech at a Harris rally in Wisconsin.

During a discussion on Trump’s appeal to male voters, Cuban claimed the former president has a “gangsta” appeal, making it clear he was saying “gangsta” rather than “gangster.”

“I have talked to people who said they like Trump because he’s a ‘gangsta.’ Not a gangster, a ‘gangsta,’” he said. “I’m like, that’s why you’re going to vote for him?”

Cuban argued younger generations are addicted to scrolling social media and this is how “aggressive” pro-Trump content is devoured.
