Britain will be an “AI superpower” according to Sir Keir Starmer as he launched the government’s artificial intelligence action plan this morning.
He said the technology holds the key to boosting economic growth as well as increasing productivity in public services. And – against a background of gloomy economic data – Downing Street tonight insisted that the Chancellor Rachel Reeves would stay in her post for the whole of this Parliament.
