Tampa Riverwalk named one of the best for holiday light displays [Video]

TAMPA, Fla. — The Tampa Riverwalk was ranked in the top 10 holiday light shows put on by neighborhoods and cities around the country. 

The Holiday Spectacular, presented by Mosaic, ranked No. 8 on the list. The annual tradition features a 35-foot-tall Christmas tree, lighted floating displays of gingerbread houses and strings of twinkle lights on trees in the Water Works Park. 

“Walk the couple-miles-long path along the river or hail a Pirate Water Taxi for an even more immersive experience,” the USA Today article reads. 

The dazzling lights and decorations started on Nov. 29 and runs until Jan. 2. There will also be a holiday celebration during the boat parade featuring lighted vessels on the riverwalk right before Christmas on Dec. 21 starting at 6:15 p.m.
