Teens suspected of firing pellet guns in Hillcrest in court [Video]

SAN DIEGO — The three teenage suspects accused of carrying out multiple pellet gun shootings in Hillcrest are expected in court Thursday afternoon. 

19-year-old Anthony Lopez-Quiniones, 19-year-old Arturo Herrera-Sustaita, and 19-year-old Angelo Nathaniel Aron face hate crime charges for the attacks that police said were carried out in September.

Multiple people were shot with gel-style pellets as they were walking in Hillcrest, according to authorities.

The suspects were arrested on November 14 after police ran an image of the suspect vehicle through their license plate recognition system. They executed search warrants at three different locations.

“This impacted not just the victims but our entire community, and I think there’s something to be said about that,” Eddie Reynoso, a victim of a pellet gun attack in May, told CBS 8 in a prior interview.
