Something to look forward to: Handheld gaming PCs are becoming increasingly popular these days, but the upcoming Ayaneo 3 promises something unique: according to the maker, it’s the world’s first modular handheld. That modularity refers to the several magnetic controller modules, which can be swapped around based on user preference.
The Ayaneo 3 will be the company’s first handheld powered by the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, the same chip used in the GPD WIN 4 2025. There’s also an option featuring the Ryzen 7 8840U APU.
The Ayaneo 3 looks to be incredibly customizable. It uses the new Magic Module technology that Ayaneo has been developing for two years. These magnetic modules connect via a set of pogo pins and unlock with the press of a button, which activates two custom miniature stepper motors.
