This video takes you on an intimate journey into the creative process of crafting this powerful live music commission, celebrating the 300th anniversary of John Smeaton, the Leeds-born pioneer of civil engineering.

Discover how composer & music director Christella Litras led an extraordinary ensemble of musicians, poets, and sound and lighting designers to bring this story to life. Witness their collaboration as they translate the language of lighthouses into evocative sounds, weaving themes of power, people and hope into a narrative that spans continents and centuries.
