Tokyo-based Jizai, Inc., has officially unveiled its customizable General-Purpose AI robot called “Mi-Mo” at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025). Looking like a combination of a spider and bedside table, Mi-Mo is intended to help democratize the development and integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into society.
According to its developers, it is an autonomous robot that can interact with users in a friendly and natural way. To achieve this, it is equipped with “eyes,” “ears,” “mouth,” and legs.
“Currently, Mi-Mo functions primarily as a conversational companion. For example, a five or six-year-old child can interact with Mi Mo, asking questions or engaging in conversations,” Jizai CEO Yuki Ishikawa told Interesting Engineering at CES.
