Theres so much fakery out there: Fake reviews getting more difficult to identify [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Before you buy a new product, it’s common practice these days to look at the reviews. You scour the comments to see what people say about a product or service before spending your hard-earned money.

But, according to fake review expert Kay Dean, it’s next to impossible to distinguish what’s real from what’s fake.

“There’s so much fakery out there. The problem is so much worse than people are aware of, and now, with artificial intelligence entering the scene, the landscape is even more murky,” Dean explained to Atlanta News First Consumer Investigator Better Call Harry.

Dean shows multiple examples of this on her YouTube channel Fake Review Watch, which is edicated to educating consumers on the increase in fake reviews and holds third-party review sites and their sellers accountable.
