The Toledo Public Schools Board of Education has named its leadership for 2025.
TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Public Schools Board of Education has named its next board president and vice president.
In a press release Wednesday, TPS announced that longtime board member Bob Vasquez was named the board president during a winter reorganizational meeting. Vasquez was first elected to the TPS Board of Education in 2008.
Vasquez was previously board president in 2020.
“I will face every challenge and celebrate every accomplishment,” Vasquez said in the release.
Chris Varwig, another longtime member, was named board vice president, the district said. Varwig had previously been elected board president in 2017 and 2021.
The district’s other elected board members are Sheena Barnes, Randall Parker and Polly Taylor-Gerken.
