Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week: Florence senior plans to return to roots [Video]

FLORENCE, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Our Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week is a senior at Florence who knows exactly what he wants to do in the future.

Jaxon Orthaus has set a good example for the younger kids at Florence. He’s a top student who makes the most of each day.

“I love to learn and the teachers here provide me that. I need to know that when I graduate and go on to what I’m going to do later on,” said Jaxon.

“I really like Jaxon. He really knows to be himself. That’s good for kids to look up is being confident in who you are and who you want to be,” said Florence social studies teacher Joel Eisenbraun.

Jaxon plans to go to college next year and then go into the family business.
