Two former Beekmantown Eagles continue to fly east for European basketball careers [Video]

Two local basketball stars from Beekmantown are back home for a bit after solid play in their recent overseas stints. Shannon Ryan, an alumna of 2014 who competed with Boston College and Saint Anselm College, is giving back to her local community through Beekmantown’s Future All-Stars camp. She’s sharing a bit of her wisdom with some elementary school students attending the camp after playing with the Avides Hurricanes in Germany. “I think it’s a full-circle moment for me,” Ryan said. “I remember being a kid and going to the camps all over this area and really idolizing the coaches there and everyone involved … to be a role model for these kids means a lot to me … I’m happy to give back to the community that gave so much for me,” Ryan is focusing on finding inspiration for her campers to start their love of basketball at an early …
