Tim Walz isn’t the only person bringing the fun dad energy to the Kamala Harris presidential campaign. President Barack Obama just saw Walz’s car talk and raised him rapping Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at a campaign rally in Detroit on October 22.
Following an introduction from the rapper himself, Obama took the stage and told the crowd he was feeling a little nervous to follow Eminem. “I notice, my palms are sweaty,” he said, quoting the iconic first line of the song. And the audience, of course, immediately caught on. This was in Detroit, after all. The former president continued to recite the verse, taking a conversational tone, “Knees weak, arms are heavy. Vomit on my sweater already. Mom’s spaghetti.”
