ORDERING at a drive-thru from your favorite restaurant may be about to change dramatically, with a growing number of chains using automation instead of real people.
Wendy’s has revealed plans to expand its use of artificial intelligence to different parts of its business.
The confirmation comes after it launched Wendy’s FreshAI, its custom built generative AI technology last year after trialing the chatbots in Columbus, Ohio.
The technology uses generative AI to “reimagine” ordering at a restaurant, with the chain saying the change allows it to offer a personalized, responsive experience for each customer.
The restaurant chain said Wendy’s FreshAI was an “assistant – not a replacement” to humans.
