The first-ever College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will be played in Atlanta on Jan. 1.
The No. 4 Seed and Big 12 Champion Arizona State University Sun Devils will face off against the No. 5 Seed Texas Longhorns on Jan. 1 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The game will be the first college football game played in 2025, with kickoff set for 1 p.m. EST.
“I can’t think of a better way to start off the new year than right here in the ‘Capital of College Football’ with the first game of 2025 and our first-ever CFP Quarterfinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl,” Gary Stokan, Peach Bowl, Inc. CEO and president said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to be able to host both Texas and Arizona State during this historic moment in our sport with the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff.”
