Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American entrepreneur, was appointed as the senior White House policy advisor on artificial intelligence (AI) by US President-elect Donald Trump on Monday. Trump, in a statement, announced that Krishnan will play a crucial role in shaping and coordinating AI policy across the government.
Krishnan will work with the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology in the Trump administration. In his statement, Trump also mentioned his accomplishments as a founding member of Microsoft’s Windows Azure team. Replying to Trump’s post on X, Krishnan thanked him for this opportunity and stated that he was looking forward to working with him.
