Wilson County Schools adopts new AI policy [Video]

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Wilson County Board of Education has approved a new artificial intelligence policy following a new law going into effect in 2024.

The BOE approved its new AI policy during Monday night’s meeting.

According to the newly adopted policy, staff will be able to use AI in the completion of their own work, “This may include, but not limited to, drafting communications, notes, images, and the development of content for instructional or administrative purposes, as well as analyzing data and information.”

Students may be allowed to use approved AI programs when allowed by teachers for instructional purposes.
