We asked the artificial intelligence (AI) tool ChatGPT to scour the internet for the best Wordle strategies. It recommended picking a starting word that has a mix of vowels “like A, E and consonants like R, T, S.”

“This helps maximize your chances of identifying letters early,” ChatGPT says.

Starting words such as “crate” or “slate,” allow players to “maximize their initial information.” Then, you need to start looking for patterns in words and also common letter combinations and word structures in English such as “TH,” “CH” and “ST.”

You should also keep an eye on letter frequency because some letters appear more often in English words than others such as E, A, R, I, O, T, N and S. But definitely use more vowels in your early guesses because they can reveal vowel placements …
