CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) – It’s a new year and along with resolutions you may be looking for a career change.
Cindy Meis is the Director of Tippie Undergraduate Career Services at the University of Iowa. She says when it comes to the job market, 2025 could bring some changes as president-elect Donald Trump returns to the white house later this month.
“I think with the change in administration, everyone’s being kind of conservative and being optimistic without knowing,” Meis said.
“People are going to be wondering what that might impact in terms of like work visas and international candidates. And then there’s been a lot of conversation around diversity equity inclusion. So that certainly could impact what hiring looks like and sort of that model of hiring,” she added.
Also in 2025, Meis expects to see continued growth and impacts from Artificial Intelligence.
