Working Iowa: University of Iowa Health Care hiring for North Liberty campus [Video]

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) -University of Iowa Health Care plans to open its North Liberty campus this spring.

“I keep telling the staff when I’m talking with them, just wait until you see it,” said Emily Ward, Associate Chief Nursing Officer for the North Liberty location.

Construction is moving along and hiring efforts have begun.

“We have opened up a lot of positions, from nursing positions to our support services positions, like food, and nutrition services, environmental services, as well as our advanced practice provider positions as well,” said Ward.

She has worked at UIHC for her entire 17-year nursing career.

“I think that we offer a lot when it comes to professional development, so folks that really want to invest in their careers,” Ward explained.

She says patients and future employees can look forward to the accessibility of the new location.

“It’s adjacent to the 380 Interstate, you know, us being able to have 24-hour drive through pharmacy,” …
