WWF and Uncommon highlight how nature can improve mental health [Video]

WWF has launched a campaign telling people to get their “daily dose of nature” in a bid to aid their mental health. 

Created by Uncommon Creative Studio, “A prescription for nature” is based on the insight that just 20 minutes in nature each day is enough to make a positive impact on people’s mental wellbeing.

It is also inspired by the statistic that one in six people reports a common mental health problem in any given week across England.

The campaign launches today (4 October) with a film and out-of-home assets. The film, which features This Morning‘s Dr Sara Kayat, will debut during Coronation Street.

WWF is the winner of ITV’s inaugural Head First award, which builds on ITV’s “Get Britain talking” campaign and offers a £1m advertising airtime prize.

The film opens with Kayat in a doctor’s surgery. She addresses the audience and tells them to get a “daily dose of nature” as it can decrease stress levels …
