Northeastern School District has adopted ZeroEyes’ security platform to take extra steps to protect faculty and staff from shootings.
YORK COUNTY, Pa. — ZeroEyes, the developer of an AI-powered security system used for gun detection, will have their next platform set up in the Northeastern School District in York County, the district and company announced on Jan. 14.
The AI-based gun detection platform created by ZeroEyes is a step in the right direction to help combat threats and protect students, faculty, and visitors from school shootings.
This security system has the ability to identify firearms in real time when they enter school property and delivers notifications through AI to first responders in as little as three to five seconds.
Data from the ZeroEyes Gun Violence Research Center shows that 35.9% of shootings analyzed in Pennsylvania occurred on the campuses of K-12 schools, which is exactly why Northeastern School District is taking extra precautions moving forward.
